The Oaktree Foundation is Australia's only youth-run international aid and development organisation.

What is The Oaktree Foundation?

The Oaktree Foundation is Australia’s only youth-run international aid and development organisation. All of our volunteers are aged under 26, and we believe that young people have the passion and power to create positive change in the world.

Our mission is to empower developing communities through education in a way that is sustainable.

The Oaktree Foundation was founded by Young Australian of the Year, Hugh Evans, in 2003. Since then Oaktree has:

• Provided 25,700 orphans and vulnerable children with access to education in 7 developing countries.
• Mobilised over 3000 supporters
• Reached over 300,000 young Australians through the Make Poverty History Concert

We invite you to join us for our newest and biggest project that is aimed at uniting young Australians with young people living in the developing world.
